Position Overview:

We are seeking a dynamic Commercial Director to spearhead the growth and commercial strategy of the New Zealand Podcast Awards. This pivotal role will focus on expanding our footprint, building strategic partnerships, and driving the commercialisation of the awards. The ideal candidate will be instrumental in taking the awards to the next level, ensuring its success and sustainability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive commercial strategy to enhance the awards' growth.

  • Forge and maintain strong partnerships with sponsors, media partners, and other stakeholders.

  • Drive revenue generation through innovative commercial avenues, including sponsorships and events.

  • Work closely with the team to align commercial initiatives with the overall mission and values of the awards which is to help grow the podcast industry and recognise great talent.

Candidate Profile:

  • Passionate about the media industry with a keen interest in podcasting.

  • Proven commercial media experience, demonstrating success in revenue generation and partnership development.

  • Strategic thinker with the ability to execute plans effectively and drive results.

  • Excellent communication and networking skills, capable of building relationships with key industry players.

  • Flexible and adaptable, open to working full-time or part-time, with the ability to thrive in a remote work environment.
